Nominations for Citizen of the Year
The Lemont Area Chamber of Commerce is now taking applications for the "OUTSTANDING CITIZEN" Award. This program is designed to recognize someone who has contributed individually, or as a member of a local organization to our community in some exceptional manner.
Some characteristics used in evaluation the candidates will include, but not limited to: outstanding community service, charitable work, heroism, and patriotism. Other characterizes you deem worthy can also be the basis for submitting your choice.
Please submit your entry prior to January 25, 2008. These entries should be in the form of a letter or essay, 500 words or less, giving a complete explanation of why you believe this individual should be considered for the award. Previous recipients are not eligible for this award.
The winner will be given a permanent plaque at the Chamber’s Annual Dinner Dance February 23, 2008. Press releases will also be made to the local media. Fax 257-3238, email in word format to lacc@core.com or mail entries to:
